Cement, while a strong, durable material, almost impossible to scratch or crack, is not indestructible. If not properly sealed or not well taken care of, it can stain. The most important thing is to clean up spills as soon as possible to stop stains from setting.<\/p>\n

You can find cement in one of two types: porous or non-porous. This will depend on whether or not it\u2019s sealed. Most cement cabinets will be sealed for extra protection. While the cement itself is extremely hard and durable, the sealer is not and can be damaged if you use a knife blade straight on it, use abrasive cleaners or place something very hot on it. This is why your cupboard door will have to re-sealed periodically. <\/p>\n

Regardless of the kind of concrete cabinets that you own, it’s always important to wipe them daily and deep clean them at least once a week to maintain them. <\/p>\n

There are a few ways to clean your cement cabinet door:<\/p>\n

1. Warm water and soap<\/strong>
\nA mild dishwashing soap is a great way to remove spills and prevent stains on cement. Use two tablespoons of soap in a mid-size bowl of water. Use a soft cloth to gently wipe the spills off the cupboard door. <\/p>\n

2. Laundry detergent<\/strong>
\nAnother great, and mild, way to clean your cupboard door is to use laundry detergent and laundry stain remover. Spray a little bit of stain remover on the spill or stain and let it sit for a few minutes. Sprinkle a bit of detergent on the stain and let it sit a few more minutes. Wipe and scrub with a soft, wet cloth or towel. <\/p>\n

3. Hydrogen peroxide<\/strong>
