Not far from Manhattan, in the south of Brooklyn, we find the district of Bay Ridge, a town that seems to have remained static over time, characterized by elegant villas with a unique Victorian style, classic and Renaissance, with their perfectly maintained gardens overlooking the bay.<\/p>\n

It is precisely in an important renovation of one of these characteristic residences that the RiFRA kitchen has contributed to the realisation of a contemporary project, creating an elegant and refined atmosphere.<\/p>\n

The house, which has been so well cared for in every detail, is the result of the vision of the owners, a New York family, who are passionate about modern and timeless design. <\/p>\n

RiFRA’s LINE kitchen, designed with a large central island, is striking for its black and white contrast, deliberately desired by the customer and accentuated by the choice of materials: white oak for the bases, black marble tops and black steel freestanding appliances.<\/p>\n

The nobility of wood in a contemporary key is the must-have of New York.<\/p>\n

The white oak of the bases gives a timeless natural style in perfect harmony with the finish, in white oak, chosen for the floating glass staircase in the middle of the room.<\/p>\n

The black lacquered plinth and groove create a contrast, but at the same time act as a link with the top and the strictly freestanding appliances, giving personality to the environment without overwhelming the eye.<\/p>\n

Interview with the homeowners<\/h2>\n

Omar and her family have just completed a renovation of a beachfront house in Bay Ridge. Can you explain to our readers, why this location and what impressed you about the house when you first visited it?<\/strong>
\nSo, this property was very intriguing for me because I loved the location of the home. Bay ridge is a small part of Brooklyn which I have been born and raised in. My in-laws live around the corner and my parents live 2 blocks away. I always envisioned a white stucco home with black accents. Being this home is situated on the front of the lot, it gave me the opportunity to have a rather large backyard for a Brooklyn home. So basically, tearing the house down and building it back up gave us the opportunity to build a home how we wanted.<\/em><\/p>\n

Can you explain the philosophy behind the renovation and the choice of materials and furnishings?<\/strong>
\nI have been lucky enough to live in several homes and condos over the last 5 years, so I have always loved to get ideas from many different placed I used what I have learned on numerous renovations and put together a vision that my wife and I loved. White oak was used as the main focal piece with our floating glass staircase. I also decided to accent our dining room ceiling with it. I always like to have my work have detail but at the same time never overwhelm the eye. As they always say, less is more, especially in-home design. <\/em><\/p>\n

How did you know RiFRA and what attracted you to our product?<\/strong>
\nSo, I was introduced to Rifra when my family and I lived at 1 john street for about a year and half.
\nWe fell in love with the look and overall product. Its unique, modern and timeless.<\/em><\/p>\n

How was the purchasing experience and the subsequent phases of working with the company? (design, delivery, installation, after sales)<\/strong>
\nSo, overall, the RiFRA experience was pretty good. We had a mix up with a couple of pieces with delivery, but it was fixed with a few days.<\/em> <\/p>\n

Are you satisfied with your kitchen and your new home? What do you like best?<\/strong>
\nYes, we do love our new home, my young children love their rooms, basement and backyard. My favourite part besides the backyard is the kitchen area. We have a huge island that\u2019s great for entertaining. Our cabinetry is beautiful, and we get compliments all the time.<\/em><\/p>\n
