The official RiFRA blog, Kitchens and Baths direct from Milano

We are in the city of Milan, a perfect blend of history and modernity, where art, fashion and design meet.

Milan is a city where historic monuments coexist with new buildings in perfect contrast.

This flat is located on the top floor of a new design building that has sprung up in the city in recent years.

RiFRA collaborated by exalting the design also internally, by furnishing the kitchen and bathrooms of this flat.

Let’s take a look at the realisation together.

The chosen kitchen is the ONE model in spatulate black cement, combined, to deliberately create a strong contrast, with the pure white lacquered matt tall unit area.

The light coming in through the glass windows emphasises the 45° shaped lines that characterise the collection.

To create more functional storage space we have designed a tall unit with retractable doors and a pull-out worktop.

Functionality without forgetting RiFRA’s clean design.

The KONE model in the cement finish was chosen for the master bathroom to deliberately create continuity of style between the kitchen and the main bathroom.

The contrast with the white colour has also been proposed, in this case by choosing the RiFRA washbasin, model BOX, in Corian.

The room is completed by RiFRA faucets, FORTY model in stainless steel and accessories from the Clean collection by RiFRA, in steel and Corian finishings.

The model chosen for the children’s bathroom is the KKUBE, which looks like a piece of furniture with pure lines, no visible handles, and no visible grooves or profiles on any part of the furniture.

The 45° machining on K.KUBE is carried over into the interior of the cabinet in the top, side and base profiles.

In this way the volume is pure, without interruption.

The finish is always spatulate cement but in slate colour, combined with a laminam top with integrated washbasin with continuous drainage.

Here again, functionality and design have found the perfect environment to coexist.

The room is completed by RiFRA tapware, model FORTY in stainless steel and accessories from the Clean collection by RiFRA, in steel and Corian finish.

Here are some extracts from our customer interview.

“I was surfing online, on instagram, during the Milan Furniture Fair.

As soon as we saw it we fell in love with the ONE cement kitchen, it really made our hearts beat faster.

We took our time, but nothing could get that kitchen out of our heads.

We went to RiFRA, also with our architect, in the showroom to define everything.

We wanted an all-white house, but after seeing the black kitchen, we changed our minds and found the right compromise because all black would have been impactful.

We fell in love with the clean and beautiful design, with the sink made of the same material as the top

I didn’t think the worktop was big enough, so RiFRA came up with this solution of a tall unit with doors that retract and the top that comes out, a very useful worktop that gives me extra support.

For our bathroom, master, we chose the same design as the kitchen, with the same cement finish; we also wanted to recreate the same contrast of white as the columns, by choosing the Corian sink.

For the children’s bathroom, we chose the KKUBE model with integrated washbasin with continuous drainage. We are very happy with it, both for its easy cleaning and for the purity of its lines.

The cement finish is amazing, you can just clean it with a sponge and it’ s immediately clean.

An excellent experience!”
