The official RiFRA blog, Kitchens and Baths direct from Milano

We are in Rome, in the Parioli district, a network of streets and tree-lined avenues, elegant buildings and parks with lush gardens; all this makes it the most chic area of the city.

This design flat has been furnished with a RiFRA FLY kitchen in shades of black and white, a recurring contrast throughout the flat.

The white chosen for the tall units and the bases of the sink area make them blend in with the walls of the room, focusing all the attention on the island which thus becomes the fulcrum of the kitchen, around which to cook and spend moments of conviviality.

The FLY kitchen is characterised by the 30° top, chosen by the customer in natural stone for its particular effect to the touch, thus emphasising the effect.

Below some passages from the interview with our customer:

“We got to know RiFRA during a web search with the keywords designer kitchen, So we started to follow you on the web, especially on Instagram, we started to see your photos of achievements and we became passionate about your kitchens.

We wanted to create a social home, open to friends, so the kitchen had to reflect these characteristics. RiFRA turned out to be perfect for what we were looking for.

We live a lot in the kitchen, we always get together with friends in the kitchen, so we decided to double the space by giving up a room, giving priority to the space dedicated to the kitchen in the renovation in order to live it above all as a place for socializing.

It became fun to cook, more collaborative, the central island, the central burners, ample space in the preparation area, everything contributed to making the moment more convivial;

we started to distribute tasks among ourselves and collaborate in an increasingly fun way;

this kitchen designed and built perfectly matched our idea of having a space for conversation with family and friends and for preparing food;

It has revolutionised the way we experience it.

The choice of finishes was made by visiting your showroom with the architects.

The idea was to have a large area of continuity of white on the walls and then connote the kitchen with a black central island, creating an area that would stand out, an effect of attraction towards the centre of the kitchen;

By choosing natural stone for the top, we deliberately created an important tactile experience;

Seeing the simulation with your software helped us a lot to get a realistic idea of how the final result would look.

Once assembled, it fully lived up to expectations.

The whole experience with RiFRA was positive.

We would like to thank our customers for their helpfulness;

The flat is the result of a major renovation by architects Capolei of the 3c+t Capolei Cavalli Architetti Associati studio in Rome. Architects Capolei, whom we thank for their collaboration, were the guests of an episode of RiFRA’s “Design Talk”, a programme dedicated to architects and the world of design.
