The kitchen wall tiles are a factor to consider carefully, especially if the final goal is to achieve a result of aesthetic and functional high value, maintaining a certain style consistency with the design of the whole kitchen.
What is the most suitable wall tiles to your new kitchen?
In this article we take stock of the situation in terms of plans and backsplashes in the kitchen.
STEEL
Noble material, durable and hygienic, in the kitchen we find tops and backsplashes, everything is customised, creating unique combinations, with woods, corian gloss or matte lacquer.
The backsplashes in steel are the wall tiles with more resistance to shocks and abrasions.
Of a great visual effect, the steel is always used in the kitchens of high level, ensuring over time indeformability and sheen.
And that’s why we find it even on backsplashes, in continuity with the working plan and in harmony with elements from the same effect (glossy or satin), like refrigerators over-size to free installation or hoods in suspension.
MARBLE AND STONES
The marble plans and backsplashes are the most sought-after between the lovers of the prestigious kitchens.
They are appreciated for the unique visual characteristics , thanks to the unmistakable chromatic variety.
Speaking of aesthetic factor, we cannot go too far to say that there aren’t many materials at par, thanks to its infinite versions that make each piece, a unique piece.
Less valuable of marble but more resistant, if you are lovers of natural stone even the granite is an alternative of quality.
They blend perfectly with wooden furniture, exalting the design and the value of a more traditional cuisine, but we are seeing a growing trend that sees them to live in the most sophisticated contemporary solutions.
Very often it is chosen to contrast glossy lacquer, and hi-Tech design.
CORIAN
The Corian revolutionized the industry of the production of plans, representing the first product with the same qualities of the stone and with the advantage of being produced in any form and be so workable.
Being a ductile resin, presents itself as a material that allows you to make plans without joints and capable of turning every space, offering unlimited capacity of customization, and becoming integrated perfectly with lacquered surfaces and with the aesthetics of materials such as steel, wood and stone.
CERAMIC TILES
They are a good compromise between creativity, versatility and resistance.
The porcelain stoneware and the tiles of design find particular success.
They are very practicals but less valuables and lasting.
LAMINATES
This material has the same texture as plastic and once cut you can mount it with putty or pvc double-sided tape.
It’s a perfect material for all of those who seek a kitchen wall tile that lends itself to easy solutions of assembly, even “Do-It-yourself”.
On the one hand, it has an infinite number of colors and variations but it is still sensitive to heat and if fixed incorrectly can unglued and cause damage to the surface.
For these reasons, together with the pvc panels plasticized PVC we don’t recommend it and we don’t have them in the catalogue as does not meet the characteristics of the materials listed in the article
