RiFRA Milano is a brand that for 45 years has been, in the furniture world, synonymous of elegance, style and constant innovation.

In the last years the brand RiFRA Milano, has placed its focus on the design, production and sale of kitchen and bathroom furniture of high range. Research, innovation, the study of new products, attention to the market and its players, the Italian taste in the choice of finishes, the coherence and elegance of the compositions, are a constant and basic feature that the market has always recognized to Rifra.

In the incessant research for new and overactive finishes, we have been offering to our customers for several years different, unusual and innovative materials, in addition to our lacquer finishes and more traditional woods.

We began in 2012 with concrete finish, passing to clay, raw oak dyed with clay and lava stone. Continuing using Corian and old oak with brass edge, we get to 2017, year in which we offer one of the most extreme proposals, both technologically and aesthetically: metals.

METALS

Metals have a decisive influence on the history of humankind, whose development periods were marked from time to time by the name of the protagonist metal of that specific historical period.

With the discovery of metals, man has known and ridden progress much more rapidly than before. Metals are still the basis of our civilization, we find them everywhere in our daily life and we as RiFRA want to reinvent it.

One of the major characteristics of the metals that has prompted us to analyze them for use in the furniture world is definitely reflection. Metals, being exposed to a light beam, almost totally reflect the light, giving rise to the metallic luster.

This effect gives different shades in the material based on how much and what light encounters the cabinet, it exponentially increases the degree of uniqueness, so dear to us.

Technically our metal finishes are obtained from liquid metal mixed with synthetic aggregating that make semi-solid compound. In this way it is possible to hand brush it on our materials and get an unrivaled result.

This process allows us to coat any object without any particular constraints, giving us the opportunity to use all the features of the metals with the flexibility of wood, in order to obtain products that can satisfy any furnishing requirement

The color shades selected and suggested by us are given by the different mixing percentage of the metals used.
The same mixtures can also be coated with two different types of finishes:

• Smooth
• Crackle.

The Crackle finish is a very special finish that recreates sort of splits on the material itself. This particularity is given by chemical reaction, therefore the size, the number and depth of the cracks is not controllable.

We propose 6 metals with smooth finish and 5 metals with crackle finish:

• Iron 1
• Iron 2
• Copper
• Brass
• Bronze
• Cast iron (finish available smooth only)
